A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

We wanted to escape to the country; breathe fresh air; relax and spend time with each other. The last thing we would have wished for was to look back with regret in five or ten years time and think... why the hell didn't we do this before?

Mid-May 2019
We've found what we've been looking for

After dozens of viewings over a couple of years, we saw potential in Upper Tumble of a bungalow with stunning views. Named 'Windswept', it overlooked the Gwendraeth Valley to the front, and to the back, glimpses of the Black Mountains.

The keys to 'Windswept'
(it might need a bit of modernising though...)

We spent several months renovating all interior and rescuing hidden front and rear gardens. Never before have we worked so physically hard. See 'Hard Work' below for before and after images.

Windswept Design and Music Studio

What was the old dining room is now the creative studio and home office. With inspirational views of the Valley and beyond, it's finally up and running and open for business!

Spring 2020
New home, new life, new career?

Still at it, and we’re nearly there! With the weather stalling some work, I’ve had time to learn a bit more coding and redesign and relaunch two self-promotional websites: www.thedesigneye.co.uk (print and digital design) and www.daisychaindaze.co.uk (songwriter and musician) and update another: www.thecreativeeye.co.uk

I'd love to get some feedback on these creations, so, don't be shy...

The neighbourhood.

Say hello!

If you’re in the area on holiday (Tenby, coastal jewel of Wales, is only 45 mins away, the Brecon Beacons, 30 mins) or passing nearby, you’re welcome to pop around to say hi. We can share the views together over a cuppa and Welsh Tea Cakes.
